April, 2004 - SpamAssassin now available on all AshtonITC private virtual servers. We can now install the latest version of the highly regarded SpamAssassin software on your virtual server. This free tool greatly reduces email SPAM at the server level before you ever have to download it to your local computer. If you would like to learn more about SpamAssassin or to arrange installation please contact our Support Staff.

January, 2004 - All AshtonITC Private Virtual Servers Upgraded: Another round of free AshtonITC Server upgrades have been completed. Our Unix Servers are based in state-of-the-art data centers which are located at the major East/West Network Access Points and are served by our tier-1 bandwidth partners with redundant OC48 connections.

January, 2002 - New low-cost Shared Server options. AshtonITC which has catered primarily to mid-size businesses throughout our history has now added Shared Server Options for smaller businesses and organizations. Our Shared Server now comes in 3 configurations ranging in cost from $15.00 to $45.00 per month.

October, 2001 - New Online Product and Domain Order Forms. Just one of the great benefits you have from leasing a Private Virtual Server from AshtonITC is the ability to add as many domain names and websites as you would like to your Virtual Server without additional monthly fees. In an attempt to make it easier for you to order additional domain names for as low as $15.00 per a year (well below the industry standard cost) as well as other services we have re-designed our secure online order forms.

- To order (or change) services or products for your AshtonITC account use our updated Product Order Form.
September, 2001 - All AshtonITC eCommerce Virtual Servers receive free MivaMerchant version 4.0 upgrade. The latest version of MivaMerchant, the powerful software installed on all AshtonITC eCommerce servers is being upgraded this month at no charge to our clients. The latest version offers many enhancements. Clients should download the latest User Guides for MivaMerchant 4.0 and begin to use some of the new features.
August, 2001 - New WebStats software installed on your AshtonITC Virtual Server. Urchin has been loaded on all AshtonITC Virtual Servers. This $495 website log analysis and reporting software replaces WebTrends which we have used to produce your reports since 1995.

Urchin WebStats have many advantages:
- Easy to navigate and highly graphical reports
- Reports processed daily rather than monthly
- Self Archiving - All reports from August 1, 2001 are always available
- Data is kept in highly compressed database reducing disk space requirements on your server
- Much more.
Also in August, AshtonITC began offering domain names for only $19.00 per year ($150.00 for ten years) through our ITCnet division. In addition to registering new domain names, you can transfer your existing domain names to our InterNIC approved Registrar and save money on your current annual domain registration costs. Register or transfer your domain names now!
July, 2001 - SiteTools / imanager has been loaded on all AshtonITC Virtual Servers. This easy to use web based Server Administration Control Panel was introduced last January. Those clients that have used SiteTools can't say enough about it. So much so, that we decided to make it standard on all of our Virtual Server products. Give it a try.

June, 2001 - All AshtonITC Virtual Servers Upgraded: All AshtonITC Server upgrades have been completed. With the opening of our new data centers in Dulles and San Jose, we continue to offer the fastest and most reliable connections on the Internet. These data centers are located at the major East/West Network Access Points and are served by our tier-1 bandwidth partners with redundant OC48 connections.

March, 2001 - Solaris Virtual Server Option: You may now order the AshtonITC Corporate and Enterprise Virtual Servers with the Unix Solaris operating system rather than our standard Unix FreeBSD OS. Solaris offers many options to our clients including support for Allaire's ColdFusion while retaining all of the benefits of the Virtual Server environment.
January, 2001 - SiteTools / imanager; A new Suite of Virtual Server Administration and User tools licensed by AshtonITC and available to clients for the asking allows Server administrators to administer User accounts (both FTP and E-mail), upload and download files, establish quotas and much more through their Web Browser. Many of the jobs that required Telnet and/or FTP software can now be carried out securely using just a standard web browser.

What's more, Web-based email (always available on our Servers with special software) is now a function of SiteTools / imanager. Users can log on from any computer anywhere in the world and access their email or upload/download files using a web browser - no more dragging around a laptop just to access an email account.
